1. Who we are

Insignia MU is a fan-run MU Online Season 6 private server, not affiliated with Webzen. The Insignia MU team ("we") is responsible for the data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: username, email address, and password (stored encrypted).
• Gameplay data: character progress, resets, inventory, connection history.
• Technical data: IP address and browser type, used for security, cheat/bot prevention, and error diagnostics.
• Browser local storage (localStorage): language preference and login session — not third-party cookies, stays on your device only.

3. How we use your data

• Create and manage your account.
• Keep the server fair (cheat detection, bans).
• Contact you about account-related issues.
• Improve the site and the server.

We never sell your data to third parties.

4. Who we share data with

• Cloudflare, our security and content delivery provider, processes your IP address as part of its security service. See their policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Discord, if you choose to join our community — governed by Discord's own privacy policy.

We do not share data for advertising purposes.

5. How long we keep your data

For as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires retention (e.g., security logs against fraud).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents. To exercise these rights, contact us via Discord (see the Contact page).

7. Children's privacy

Insignia MU is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age, in line with COPPA. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us to have it removed.
